of pop -- Christina Petrowska Quilico brings it all together in an exciting,
eclectic program that includes compositions by York faculty colleagues
David Mott and William Westcott, and the world premiere of David Jaeger's

Christina Petrowska Quilico premieres Eclipse by composer David
Mott at the gala concert opening The
Accolade Project, a new $107.5 million state-of-the-art teaching,
exhibition and performance complex at York University. The first piano
concerto composed for a world music ensemble, featuring Christina Petrowska
Quilico (piano), Kim Chow-Morris (dizi), Bassam Shahouk (oud), John Brownell
(percussion), David Mott, Sundar Viswanathan and Kelly Jefferson (saxophones).
Guest artists Joseph Petric (accordion), Rob Clutton (bass), John Farah
(synthesizer), and Suba Sankaran and Ed Hanley from the band Autorickshaw
(voice and tabla).

of the death of Michel-George Brégent. Ms. Petrowska Quilico performs
the mammoth cycle, 16 Portraits,
composed by Brégent between 1966 and 1988.
